About Me
I hold an academic background deeply rooted in geosciences, with a particular emphasis on geological and reservoir modelling disciplines. I first completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economic Geology, where I developed a strong understanding of mineral resources, extraction processes, and the economic considerations underpinning geological exploration. Following this, I pursued a second MSc in Structural Geology with Geophysics, which expanded my expertise in subsurface characterisation, tectonic processes, and applied geophysical techniques.
Building upon this foundation, I was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Advanced Reservoir Modelling, with a special focus on Advanced Fractal Reservoir Modelling. My doctoral research was pioneering in the direct calculation of fractal dimension from seismic data, representing a novel methodological advancement that had not been previously achieved in the field. This work integrated geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data to develop sophisticated, multi-scale reservoir models, employing fractal geometry to characterise heterogeneities with greater accuracy and to enhance predictive performance in subsurface resource management.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have cultivated a multidisciplinary skill set that bridges theoretical principles with practical applications. I am adept at developing robust geological models that address real-world challenges, particularly within complex, heterogeneous reservoirs where traditional modelling approaches are insufficient.
In addition to reservoir engineering, I have developed a strong research interest in carbon storage and nuclear waste management. These fields represent critical frontiers in sustainable environmental stewardship, where accurate subsurface modelling plays a vital role in the secure, long-term containment of carbon dioxide and radioactive materials. I am particularly focused on applying advanced fractal analysis and reservoir modelling techniques to support the design and evaluation of geological storage solutions, ensuring both environmental safety and operational efficiency.
I am passionate about advancing subsurface modelling technologies to support sustainable resource development, mitigate climate change impacts, and contribute to innovation in the fields of geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, carbon storage, and nuclear waste management.
